What is tooth sensitivity?
Tooth sensitivity occurs when the softer dentine underneath hard tooth enamel becomes exposed to reveal microscopic channels that lead to the tooth nerve. When this exposed dentine comes into contact with hot or cold, sweet, sour or even your toothbrush it can trigger the nerve causing a short sharp pain.

How is tooth sensitivity caused?

Gum recession often as a result of over-enthusiastic toothbrushing.

Enamel erosion caused by fizzy, sweet and/or acidic drinks.

Wearing away of enamel.

How does Sensodyne Rapid Relief work?

Sensodyne Rapid Relief acts rapidly to create a mineral-like seal over the surface of the dentine and within the microscopic channels. This prevents stimulus from reaching the nerve. Twice daily brushing provides long lasting protection from sensitivity. Also cleans, freshens and helps strengthen enamel.

  • Clinically proven to relieve the pain of sensitive teeth
  • Rapid relief and long lasting protection

sensodine rapid relief I was very sceptical about this toothpaste and the claim that it treats sensetive teeth for a long period, as other toothpastes who claim that theirs do, have never done a thing for my sensetive teeth. But this sensodine toothpaste is amazing, although it wont cure sensetvie teeth, it most definately makes a difference and I can now bite in to cold food & drink cold drinks without having the painful shooting pain through my tooth. Well worth the extra little bif of money for a toothpaste that really does do what it says on the box! December 6, 2010
Pain gone! Had pain in one tooth while on holiday and had thought a filling had come loose. Bought this and it really did the trick as anything cold was agony. Visited the dentist on my return and he said the filling was fine and that it was indeed sensitivity and to carry on using. June 18, 2012
A great toothpaste I've tried many toothpastes, I have slightly damaged tooth enamel and have found a lot of the 'repair' toothpastes to abrasive or they make my teeth even more sensitive. This is an excellent toothpaste and I never have problems with sensitivity since I have started using it. January 31, 2013
