Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour 6.3 Golden Brown
I'd saw the advert for Olia and thought i'd give it a try, it contains no ammonia so is kinder to hair. I have have waist length thick dark brown hair, which has been excessively dyed over the years. I didn't necessarily want to go this colour but just to go lighter with my temperamental hair. I bought 2 bottles and used a bottle and a half of it. The application was good, the dye was quite thick. The only way i can put it is its like putting conditioner onto your dry hair but apart from that it was very easy. No horrible smell either it smelt quite nice. I left it on for the full half an hour and i'm over the moon with the results. The colour is beautiful and is much lighter, so soft and very shiny! I had no scalp irritation and my hair looks and feels in very good condition. Very happy with this dye and i look forward to using it again!!

The formula is great. The shades? Not so much.
I used this prouct for the first time tonight and I would say that if you dye your hair frequently, this is a great product. Incredibly nourishing, easy to apply and best of all (for sensitive scalps like mine) doesn't tingle at all!
Why then only 2 stars? I have to admit that this is all down to this particular shade. My hair prior to colouring was a light ginger blonde. So of course I expected something like the lightest predicted shade on the side of the box. Instead what I got was a dull, dark ashy brown. Not a hint of gold in sight. I find this inexplicable.
I would say to not be fooled by the colours on the box, nor the description, if you want to go light golden brown, you are probably better off getting a dark golden blonde, if the shade discrepancy is anything to go by. It's a shame, because the formula really is fantastic, but the shades are just shocking. Even my husband was surprised at how dark it was, and you can bet he never notices when I change my hair colour!

Most conditioning hair colourant & best for those with little/ no greys
Natural hair colour is black, was previously dyed dark brown about 3 month prior to using this, and about 40% greys.
The main problem with this was that the grey coverage was not good at all. The greys were coloured, but they still looked grey-ish with a hint of colour - quite transparent and not a solid colour compared to my non-greys - even though I have left the dye in for over an hour. Also, the colour on the grey hairs fade over time, and have become grey again.
Apart from that, this is probably the most condition home hair colourant I have ever used.
I would recommend this to anyone who has little to no greys.
