Get salon style at home using the new Foil Effects Cap, a tool that allows you to get the perfect amount of colour coverage from the comfort of your own home.

The Foil Effects Cap will give you the skill and precision of a salon treatment, enabling you to create any number of styles from subtle highlights to dramatic all over colour change, whilst saving you numerous expensive trips to your hairdressers.

How it works

•The cap is made from a highly durable material that moulds around the head to sit closely next to the root areas.

•Using the precision marker you then sketch your foil placements onto the cap with the metal weave hook, pull your hair through following the pattern you have outlined.

•The rest of your hair is completely protected underneath the cap so that when you apply your chosen colourant only the newly weaved hair will be treated and your foil effects created.

• The cap is completely reusable and versatile enough to create multiple colour effects again and again.

The treatment takes less than an hour and you can create many styles outlined in the pack including: traditional highlights, lowlights, T section, slices, men’s colour and much more. The included colour guide gives advice on how to avoid the risk of hair turning orange or gingery.

Also try Colour B4

If you are unhappy with a dark colour result or simply fancy a change, salon colour corrections can prove incredibly expensive. However, Colour B4 allows you to safely and effectively remove an artificial hair colour without risk of damage to your natural hair colour or condition.

Colour B4 contains no peroxide or ammonia and simply shrinks the artificial colour molecule so it can be rinsed away. Using colour B4 prior to creating a technique with the foil Effects cap can achieve your desired salon style colour correction at a fraction of the cost.

NO MORE GINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the 1st time in my life I have managed to get my dark brown hair a real blonde. This cap is a really clever way to get salon style foil colour at home. However even when I have had salon foils they have gone gingery, hair colorists have always said it was because my hair was so dark. The book which comes with the kit explains how to get around this problem and it works!!!!!! Plus it was a ton less money than the 90 quid I spent in the salon earlier this year to end up with coppery brown hair!!! December 17, 2010
Awful! Ok so this cap is supposed to make our lives easier and help us save money because it's a DIY foils effect cap and as most of those who tried it found out, doing foil highlights by yourself is basically impossible. This cap is very uncomfortable, tight around your forehead and pulls on your hair as you put it on. Sprinkling it with talcum powder on the inside makes it a bit easier to put on but like I said it is tight around the forehead, but not quite that close to the scalp, therefore your new highlights will look grown out already because they are far away from the roots. If you don't like the sound of that, try pulling your hair through this thing! In the box you get a little metal device with a hook at the end to poke through the cap. Good luck with that and trying not to dig a hole in your head and get enough of the hair out. The material this cap is made of is absolutely awful and cheap, it ripped at the bottom without me even pulling it and the holes I pulled some of my hair though would not seal themselves back in, they just got bigger and the cap started ripping. Threw it in the bin after half an hour, what a waste of money and time. I imagine you'll get better effects using a regular highlighting cap or one of those highlighting kits. Or get a friend round to do your foils for you. The material used for highlighting, as the other person raving about this cap on this website said earlier, has absoloutely nothing to do with the final effect, be it aluminium foil or rubber. If you have dark hair, you leave the lightener in for longer. If the hair comes our orange or yellow, you tone it down with Ash based hair colours, such as Ash Blonde. The little book that tells you all about your hair and what happens to it during certain processes such as colouring or straightening which comes in the box is quite useful. I have used Colour B4 Extra, B4 U Colour and Colour Stop! from Scott Cornwalls range and I would very much recommend these anyday, but not this godawful Foils Effect Cap. Cheap, Tacky, Useless!
