    Product description

One of the oldest incense materials, sandalwood has been used for over four millennia. As the sandlwood tree matures, the fragrant oil develops in the roots and heartwood. The sandalwood tree is never felled, but uprooted in the rainy season, when the roots are richer in the precious essential oil, which is extracted via a process of steam distillation.
Sandalwood oil has a distinctive soft, warm, smooth, creamy, and milky precious-woodsy scent. It imparts a long-lasting, woody base to perfumes from the oriental, woody, fougère, and chypre families.
