    Metallic eyes

Metallic eyes are a hot trend right now - this is how grown-ups do glitter! This look can be dialled up to full sparkle or kept more subtle for a metallic hint - it's all up to you. We love gold for this look, but you can experiment with different metallics to find the perfect colour combo for you.

Apply a gold cream eyeshadow to your eyelids

For cream eyeshadow application, there's no better tool than your finger. Dab a gold shade all over your eyelid, bringing it up slightly onto the brow bone. A cream formula will provide the perfect base for glitter to stick to, so your look lasts all night.

Use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to pat glitter over the top

To catch any fallout, hold a soft tissue under your eye. Dip your eyeshadow brush in glitter (we love gold on gold for this look!) and tap off the excess before gently patting it over the top of your cream eyeshadow.

Apply black kohl to your waterline

Use a soft, jet-black kohl eyeliner to define your eyes and add drama. Top tip: apply a generous amount to the bottom waterline and blink tightly to transfer some onto your upper waterline - it's much easier than using your eyeliner!

Remove excess glitter from lashes with a clean mascara brush

You can easily clean an old mascara brush by pouring a small amount of eye make-up remover into a cup. Leave an old mascara brush to soak for 10 minutes, then rinse. You can then use it to grab stray glitter from your lash line.

Apply black mascara to your upper lashes

To finish your party look, apply two coats of a jet black mascara. Wiggle the brush at the roots to separate and lift the lashes into a volumised fan.
