How do I track the status of my return?

If you have returned a product to us the 'returns’ section of the relevant ‘order history’ page in your account will show you the status. These are some of the statuses you may see:

  • 'Refund actioned' - This shows you that your refund has been completed. Please allow up to 14 days for the credit to appear in your account. If you request a replacement and we have no stock, we'll give you a refund. You will receive an email to confirm this
  • 'Replacement actioned' - This shows you that your replacement order has been created. You'll receive an email to confirm this. We'll also send you another email when we despatch it
  • 'Cancelled' - If you see this status you should have been contacted by Boots Customer Care to explain why we aren't able to process the return
What is your returns policy?

You can return any unwanted products within 35 days for a refund or replacement. Unfortunately we aren't able to exchange products. Any Boots Advantage Card points collected against any product(s) you return for a refund will be removed in accordance with the Advantage Card terms and conditions

How do I return a product bought from international.boots.com?

Should you change your mind and wish to return your order (or a product from your order) to us you can visit our returns portal. Here, you'll be able to pay for your return and print a label to attach to the parcel following the steps below:

  • Step 1: Creating your returns label

To return a product, simply  visit our returns portal and follow the instructions. You will be required to print a label during this process*

  • Step 2: Packing your product for return

Complete the returns paperwork from your original order then package your product(s) safely with the completed paperwork and attach the returns label. The label will be addressed to our returns team:

  • Step 3: Returning your product

Return your product to us by taking the package to your nearest postal office. Don't forget to keep your proof of postage until your refund has been completed

*If you don't have a printer and therefore cannot print a returns label please contact us.

How much will it cost to return a product?

The cost of returning a product will vary depending on your country and are shown in the table below. There will also be an option to pay in Euros, at the current conversion rate.

How long will it take for Boots to receive my return?

Your package should be received by Boots approximately 7 working days after it is posted. You can track your item at any time via our returns portal. Please allow up to 21 days for the credit to appear in your account.

Do I need to get proof of postage?

We recommend you use a postal service that insures you for the product you are returning, and that you obtain proof of postage. Any items you are returning will be your responsibility until received by Boots.

How long do I have to return my order?

You have 35 days from the day you received your order to return any unwanted or unsuitable products.

Can I return my order to a non-UK store?

Unfortunately International orders cannot be returned to any Boots store outside the UK.

What if my order is faulty or damaged?

If your product/order is faulty or damaged please contact Boots Customer Care to arrange a return.
