Bourjois Poudre De Riz De Java
Good illuminating powder with retro packaging
The packaging of this product is lovely and retro, even though it is plastic, and I think it's great that Bourjois is celebrating its history and bringing back products from over a hundred years ago. The powder itself is interesting. It's quite highly scented, but doesn't smell like the little pot blushers, and pinkish white in colour. It's a fine powder but I wouldn't use it as a setting powder as it does have sparkles in it. You can't see them in all lights but I did notice that my face looked a bit sparkly at the end of the day. I would use this as a highlighter and it would look nice as a body illuminator too, but I think it is a little too sparkly for me to use as an all over face powder. I still like it a lot and think it is a great idea.

This is the most beautiful light, fragrant face powder you could possibly imagine. It's very fine, goes on perfectly and leaves a smooth and flawless finish.
Not only is the product really good but the design of the container is excellent, the holes in the top move round so you can tap out just a little bit and then close it again - unlike a much more expensive one I can think of.
I'm so sorry this appears to be a limited edition, I hope Bourjois make it part of their range as it's the best powder I've ever used.

Very good results - and smells lovely!
Bourjois is one of my pet brands and I was really excited when I found out they were reinventing one of their legendary products. It was an impulse buy, since I never thought about using loose powder, but the packacking, even if it's plastic, was too cute to resist!
It's a really, really fine powder. It looks white, but once applied it's transparent - so it won't make you look like a ghost. It's a bit sparkly, though, so you must use it wisely. I have used it both as a setting powder - on BB creams that were a bit too oily for me - and as a highlighter, and I like the results in both cases. Really flattering. And it smells heavenly, like vintage sweets.
