BaByliss For Men +7895U i-stubble Trimmer
great for a neat shape at all lengths
i bought my partner this for his birthday as he had been growing his beard but didnt want to be going to barbers every week to have it trimmed, he had tried another one before a few years which put him off getting another one. Once he tried this, he had his stubble growing then really trimming it back, new look every few weeks!!! The only grumble he has is that when he tries to define the line at the cheeks he feels he gets a better shape when he uses a disposable razor, but overall he's well impressed and battery life is long.

Cool, easy to use and hassle free
The i-Stubble looks and feels great. It is long, sleek and has complete aesthetic appeal. I am usually sceptical trying new things but I am glad I gave this nifty machine a go.
You have to initially charge the product for 16 hours but thatâs so you get good use out of the battery (not great for the eager beavers) and thereafter it only takes 90 minutes to get a full charge.
To work out what length is good for you then you will have to experiment, I like 2.5mm, itâs long enough and gives you a neat look. The length can be simply adjusted by pressing the up/down buttons and it automatically does it. It also stops the motor when you are adjusting length so you do not accidently start trimming on the wrong setting.
If you turn it off and on it also remembers the last setting you used which works a wonder if you are a regular trimmer like me. You can also lift the head if you want to get a closer trim or if you want to design your stubble/beard.
The LCD screen displays the battery life and the setting of your trimmer. Whilst charging the screen stays lit to let you know that the machine is charging.
The head is great as it is smooth and springy and goes around each part of your facial contour smoothly and without causing discomfort. (unlike my last one that felt like it was poking me when I would trim the hair around my chin). It glides so smoothly that it feels like it is not trimming at all. Finally cleaning it was a charm as I used the brush and then rinsed the head and all the hair was gone from the trimmer.
The sound of the trimmer is very low. Consider it is trimming and the motor is running; it buzzes but is much quieter than the ones I have had in the past.
The product comes with a charging plug, adaptor (very handy), cleaning brush and some oil to lube the product. Donât let the whole idea of oiling the product put you off, this is so it works smoothly and you only need to reapply 2 drops every 3 months. My last one was pre-oiled but then I saw after about 4 months use that it was not smooth and that it needed oiling anyway for smooth use. The amount of oil they give is quite a lot but is easy to store as it has a re-sealable lid.
The charger is great as it is like a telephone cord (spring like) so it is not long but stretching it makes it longer and it doesnât tangle up⦠woo hoo!
The only negative point and thatâs with even my last trimmer; you have to go over certain areas a couple of times but as the head is so comfortable around the facial contours it doesnât feel too much of a chore to do.
Definitely a 5/5!

Does exactly what they say! - Not just a gimmick!
Recently lots of companies have been making their products "digital" which normally means the same or reduced functionality with some fancy electrical controls at a higher cost.
I bought an equivalent manual trimmer for similar cost to this only last year, it's great but as with all shavers as soon as you apply too much pressure or try and trim along the contours of your jaw-line the adjustable guard slips or canât adjust to the contour of your face.
This shaver really does hold at the measurement you select, because the motor is locked by the digital controls there is no slip in the adjustment, and whatâs even better is the fact it stops trimming if you accidently press the adjustment buttons for an even trim!
The precision of the measurements means you can trim not just your beard but side burns back of neck etc. with the precision of hair clippers.
The head is spring loaded meaning that you can trim along the contours of your face at the length you choose with no fuss! The device has a battery indicator like you find on a phone so you know if it needs charging before you use it, and unlike my current shaver if the battery is low it won't turn on and tells you to charge... previous shavers I've used have just dwindled out of power normally tugging at hairs painfully before coming to a halt.
Just for those who are wondering the settings are accurate at 0.4mm to 2.0mm at 0.2mm increments and then up to 5.0mm with 0.5mm increments, which is great and definitely better than guessing by a typical "setting number" found on any other shaver I've used.
Definite must buy for any man who uses a beard trimmer.
